With the vision to disrupt document management forever, we started with a stand-alone product. After a short time we realized, that it is just too early to completely disrupt document management and make offices around the world fully paperless. This is why the management team around Frank Thelen decided to pivot and launch a new App called Scanbot.
Scanbot is your premium mobile scanner app for iOS and Android. It creates high-quality PDF or JPG scans of your documents, receipts, business cards, post-its, etc. Email, print or upload these documents to cloud services such as Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, Evernote, etc. The integrated PDF editor lets you edit documents on the go. OCR and data intelligence algorithms extract information from the scans and enriching documents with smart data. After reaching more than 7 million downloads from the App Store and Google Play Store, it was clear that we can do more than just selling a B2C App. We therefore launched our Software Development Kit (SDK) which we license to a variety of companies with multiple Applications around the world.
As we always strive to improve our Software and make use of it for a variety of use cases, we launched our second App called Unfade in early 2016. Unfade is a premium portable photo album scanner. You can create high-quality scans of your analog photos and sync them between your iOS devices via iCloud sync. The unique technology of Unfade enables you to scan a whole album of pictures in just minutes. With our Magic Color Filter and 25 additional filters available, you can revive all of your analog photos and bring them to the digital age.
